5 ways to refresh your home decor for spring in 2025

With the endless grey skies that come with a UK winter, I am always desperate by February to add some spring decor into my home to cheer me up and refresh a few rooms for the change of season ahead. Going from winter to spring has always signified more of a start to the New Year for me than NYE does, and it’s this month that many of the SS25 collections are launching both online and in-store.

Below, I am sharing some of my favourite new collections for SS25, plus how you can use these pieces to style your bedroom, living room, dining room, hallway or kitchen ready for the warmer months.

Add Yellow

Yellow has always signified and been associated with the season of spring, but it is a colour that has been trending within interiors for a while now. Mustard yellow accents have been featured in many popular room schemes, with buttercup yellow kitchen cabinets currently the colour of choice within kitchen design.

Cheery rooms painted in shades of yellow can really make a statement and it’s a colour that works well in both modern and heritage homes. If you just want to add a small dose of yellow to your interiors rather than painting an entire room, try these striped candle shades from Nicholas Engert Interiors, a small yellow side table by H&M Home, or yellow lemon prints from Desenio.

Spring Greens

I recently heard an interior designer say that green should be considered a neutral due to the fact that it is so easy to live with. For a green scheme that embraces spring, try using a lot of green within one space in a variety of tones, alongside green patterns and prints in the style of florals, ferns, or other botanicals.

Warner House has just launched a new collection of wallpaper and prints this month titled ‘Really Useful Prints’, featuring a whole host of appealing designs that are available in colourways and options of green.

Graham & Brown have also just launched their latest Concerto Collection for 2025: a wide range of floral and botanical prints that are more modern in style than chintzy or whimsical.

Small Switch Up: Spring Home Accessories

Of course, if you don’t want to redecorate, a quick and non-committal way to bring spring into your home is via the array of pretty and spring-like home accessories that are currently available. Framed floral art prints, embroidered floral tablecloths and napkins, bright stripy cushions with frilled edging and glass or serveware adorned in spring flowers can add that much-needed touch of spring into a room scheme.

Display Statement Spring Florals

Refreshing your home for spring need not involve buying anything new. A vase filled with cut magnolia branches, daffodils, tulips or genista will bring all the colour and vibrancy of spring into any room. You can cut stems from your garden, or buy spring blooms from your local supermarket or florist. For something really special, try a floral subscription from Uncut Stems who offer UK-grown, plastic-free seasonal flowers delivered directly to your door.

For a spring table setting, gather some bud vases, dot them the length of the table and fill them with colourful cut spring flowers. I love using scented narcissi that adds a strong floral scent to the table.

Spring Bedroom Refresh

If you only bring spring to one room, you can’t go wrong with giving your bedroom a spring refresh. Swap out heavy bedspreads and thick fabrics for lighter, breathable cotton sheets adorned in small-scale floral prints. Laura Ashley has just released their SS25 home collection and there is an abundance of floral bedsheet options available, as well as bedroom furniture featuring dainty meadow-print designs.
