Discover Heal's New SS24 Furniture Ranges: Elevate Your Home and Garden
A whole year has passed since I curated my edit for Heal’s using their SS23 range. I loved pulling that edit together - selecting pieces from the new homeware designers that Heal’s had chosen to champion, alongside pieces from Heal’s own collections. The heritage brand, founded in 1810, celebrates classic design, highlights innovative new talent and produces its own line of contemporary furniture, lighting and homeware authentic to the Heal’s brand (think laidback luxury as opposed to just absorbing the latest trend). As we move out of winter, new pieces from the latest Heal’s collections for spring/summer 2024 are starting to appear online, so here are my top picks from the new pieces:
The Pillow Bed
With two huge pillows making up the headboard, the aptly named Pillow Bed (created by the Heal’s in-house design team) provides a supportive backrest for those who like to sit up working or reading between the sheets. Removing the need for giant back cushions that then get tossed onto the floor before sleeping, the Pillow Bed can sit flush against the wall, maximising the space within a compact bedroom.
The Fabric Table Lamp
There has been a recent focus on including a ‘surprising pop of red’ within an interior scheme; Heal’s new pale blue fabric table lamp with a single red stripe not only provides the surprising pop, but red and blue are one of the key colour combinations for 2024. I expect this lamp to be an instant sell-out when it goes on sale in March.
Green Garden Furniture
A three-way collaboration between Case Furniture, COAT Paints and Heal’s, the popular Eos outdoor furniture range - designed by Matthew Hilton for Case - will now be available in a sage green colourway (Brewer Green by COAT) that will be sold exclusively at Heal’s. Made from lightweight aluminium that has been powder-coated, the Eos range of tables, benches and seating contains a gorgeous green surface that is weather and rust-proof. Hannah Armstrong, furniture buyer at Heal’s, said: “We are continuing to see a growing demand for durable, high-quality outdoor furniture that is reflective of our customers’ interior aesthetic.”
The Travertine Table
With slimline solid oak legs and a top made from travertine, this new version of the Anais Table (previously only available in a walnut finish) has a lighter, Scandi-style feel and works perfectly with spring and summer pastel shades of pale yellow and pinks. It’s also extendable and can be lengthened to seat up to ten people.
The light wood four-poster bed
Featuring seamless joinery - typical of Heal’s with its focus on craftsmanship - the light wood of the new Marlow four-poster bed features a built-in headboard upholstered in off-white chenille fabric. Pair it with crisp white sheets for a clean and crisp hotel look, or more colourful bedding and throws for a contemporary bedroom scheme.
