On My Radar: New Interior Releases For The Start Of 2024
There’s been a flurry of new home decor product launches and interior collections released in this first month of 2024, so I thought I would share those that have caught my eye over here on the blog. If you are starting the year off by redecorating your home, there are plenty of new wallpapers and paint palettes that you may want to consider using. Here are all my top picks from the latest designs:
Calico Shell Wallpaper by 1838 Wallcoverings
1838 Wallcoverings released a second collaboration with the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum) in the middle of January and its Calico Shell wallpaper is the stand-out print in the collection. Shells seem to be having a ‘moment’ within interiors and this wallpaper pattern was selected from a large assortment of designs within the V&A’s Prints and Drawings department. The initial sketch was lifted from a tiny, hand-painted artwork, then redrawn in the 1838 Wallcoverings studio and extended into a mesmerising wallpaper repeat. It’s available to buy now in four colourways: Ivory, Verde, Aqua and Cobalt.
Crown Paints Colour Insights 2024/2025
Crown Paints held a huge event in London this week to launch their colour insights for 2024/2025: four key paint palettes that they think will carry through into our interiors over the next couple of years, as predicted by the designers and the colour specialist team at Crown.
Solutions: This palette is inspired by natural materials, organic shapes and texture. Colours include sage greens, teal blues, warm reds and greys.
Community: Inspired by bright community spaces within mundane areas. The colours in this palette are bright primary shades alongside hot pinks.
Escape: This palette is inspired by nostalgic television and Wes Anderson productions so it contains lots of soft pastel shades.
Pivot: A more grown-up palette of warm honey tones, toffee hues and plaster pinks.
Amtico Flooring Launches A Second Collection with The National Trust
Luxury LVT flooring brand Amtico has released a second collection in collaboration with the National Trust (who have also released a wallpaper collaboration this month with Little Greene). The new collection - The Kedleston Hall Edit - is inspired by the unique features of the period property, located in the Derbyshire countryside. Containing five new flooring patterns (including parquet wood and stone), a portion of each sale goes to the National Trust to help preserve historic British architecture and heritage.
The Wellbe sofa by Natuzzi
Italian furnishings brand Natuzzi released its Wellbe sofa: a modular unit with a reclining back, lumbar support and footrest controlled by an app. The slit magazine side pockets also contain built-in USB chargers and the armrest can be moulded like a cushion for when you want to lay down.
Colours Of Arley Wallpaper Collection
Expanding on its collection of stripy fabrics and soft furnishings, London brand Colours Of Arley has released a new striped wallpaper collection for 2024. The made-to-order range is available in a choice of three stripe widths and over 180 colour combinations; printed on responsibly sourced paper in the UK.
