Discover Farrow & Ball's New French-inspired Wallpaper Collection for 2024

If you are thinking of hanging some wallpaper in your living room, bedroom or bathroom, but are yet to decide on a print, you’ll be interested to know that leading designer paint and wallpaper manufacturers Farrow & Ball have just last week released a new collection of handcrafted wallpapers inspired by patterns recently unearthed at the historic French estate Château de Purnon.

Château de Purnon, located in the heart of the French countryside, is currently being renovated by its new owners. They brought in Farrow & Ball, who have reinterpreted these discovered patterns and have updated them for use in the modern home. The Purnon Papers include dainty floral prints to more ornate damasks and are available as five separate prints, with five different colourways to choose from.

Farrow & Ball Creative Director, Charlotte Cosby, says “when I first saw the original patterns, I was just blown away. They’re so beautiful and intricate that it’s astonishing to think they’d be tucked away and forgotten for all those years. It was like discovering a treasure trove that I couldn’t wait to share with the world.”

With pattern titles including Baracé, Auguste and Achard, each of the five wallpaper designs that make up The Purnon Papers are named after those who lived and partied at the French château in its heyday.
